The Handy grid Method

In my art class, we are drawing using the "grid method" for most of our projects. now at first, I was completely not excited about the idea because it was new to me. but in actuality, believe it or not, its extremely helpful! it is an extremely inexpensive way to enlarge or shrink your art. it's not as easy as using a projector, but it does help with your observation skills, and in the long run will help with your overall drawing skills. if you want to use the grid method take a photograph, draw a grid on it, and on the piece of paper your drawing on. now for my current project, I'm working on I had to take a picture of a leaf since its fall and all. but on the photograph itself, I drew a 1 by a 1-inch grid and a 2 by a 2-inch grid on my drawing paper because of the size. but the grid size determines by the size of the paper, here's an example; https://www.joshuanava.biz/colored-pencil/materials-bvs.html       The grid method does take some time.      let's talk about the art style. how do you discover your art style? for few, it comes naturally.  but from what I've experienced it can be a pain because you want to keep the way you make art somewhat consistent. keeping your art style could someday be a trademark to your art altogether.  yet consistently in my style is something I still have trouble with. it's always changing and I'm always learning new techniques.      your personal style needs to have rules, constants, and can't really be spontaneous. it needs to be intentional, and something that you can use over and over again.  like human anatomy is something that I struggle with, it's hard to imagine and keep my general style the same.      but your potential style is influenced but what you are inspired by or who  you're inspired by. it's important to research or look up other art styles to expand your mind and ideas. it's good to watch multiple people draw and try to recreat

First off I would like to say hello, and welcome. This blog I will be sharing my artistic journey and talking about my opinion on major current events associating with art. So today I would like to share with you my relationship with art. To say the least, art has a big impact on my life. When I was younger I would always get the step-by-step drawing books at the school library. If you were to go back ten years to when I was five and ask past Nisaya what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would most defiantly say she would want to be a famous artist. Wile that dream has changed, my love for art hasn’t. I remember when I got my first sketchbook; it was given to me by my dad. I was so happy, and I drew in it all the time. Since then I’ve been getting sketchbooks, paints, drawing pencils for my birthday and Christmas.   I, of course, am not a prodigy. But I have improved over the past years. This is because of practice and help from, my dad and art teachers with techniques and ide
